Azadirachtin is similar to neem oil in that it is derived from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), but lacks the fungicidal properties of neem oil. Initially found to inhibit desert locust feeding, Azadirachtin is now known to affect a broad spectrum of over 200 insect species, including:
- Aphids
- Mealybugs
- Caterpillars
- Japanese beetle
- Whiteflies
- Mites
- Root aphids
- Thrips
Azadirachtin's primary mode of action is as an anti-feedant, but it also disrupts normal insect growth/moulting, repels larvae and adults, sterilises adults and deters egg laying.
Azadirachtin products are preferred by some due to their compatibility with a wide range of insecticides and biocontrols, such as the beneficial fungus Beauveria bassiana. With no re-entry restrictions, Azadirachtin allows for use in a variety of settings and breaks down rapidly after application, minimising unwanted effects on the environment. Alternating Azadirachtin applications with other insecticides provides variable control with less risk of insects developing resistance.
Neem (Azadirachta indica) is a source of environment-friendly bio-pesticides. The unique feature of neem products is that they do not directly kill the pests, but alter their life-processing behaviour in such a manner that the insect can no longer feed, breed or undergo metamorphosis.
Neemacin works on pests as an antifeedant, repellent and insect growth regulator. At the same time, it does not affect the life cycle of beneficial insects. Neemacin is also biodegradable and non-mutagenic, leaving no toxic residue and thereby keeping the environment clean and safe.

Available strengths
Neemacin is available in five different concentrations of Azadirachtin, in 100 ml to 20 litre containers:
| Product | Azadirachtin (Aza) | |
|---|---|---|
| A) | Neemacin 300 PPM | 0.03% |
| B) | Neemacin 1500 PPM | 0.15% |
| C) | Neemacin 3000 PPM | 0.3% |
| D) | Neemacin 10000 PPM | 1% |
| E) | Neemacin 50000 PPM | 5% |
Neemacin is a product trialled by I.C.A.R.

Mission, objective and strength of the organisation
Objective
The world is observing constant depletion of soil quality, pollution of water & environment leading to health risks, harmful chemicals entering our life system, and beneficial species being endangered - all due to the continuous use of chemical pesticides in farms and fields. On the contrary, bio-pesticides are capable of overcoming all these issues. But due to unawareness of the advantages of using bio-pesticides, and myths associated with their use, the potential of natural compounds is still untapped.
Neem is proven to be one of the most potent bio-insecticides due to the presence of the active ingredient Azadirachtin, which shows broad-spectrum activity and affects over 600 species of insects.
Azadirachtin shows the following benefits over the conventional use of chemical pesticides:
- Triple action
It acts as an antifeedant, oviposition deterrent and insect growth regulator.
- Biodegradable
It is 100% biodegradable & doesn’t enter the food chain.
- Lower resistance risk
There is less risk of insects developing resistance to it.
Vision
To promote organic farming globally by using the rich heritage of neem. Marching towards an eco-friendly society through bio-organic farming.
Mission
To provide natural neem-based insecticides to farmers worldwide that contain Azadirachtin as the active ingredient, by making quality products that are allowed for organic use, economical and low in toxicity. Always upgrading the quality of the products since inception.
Values
- Best quality, no matter what.
- Empathy towards nature.
- Customer satisfaction.
- Excel through practice.
- Integrity & transparency.
Our infrastructure
We have a sound infrastructure, which consists of a comprehensive R&D department, a well-equipped manufacturing unit and experienced, specialised workers. The R&D department hosts a group of experts constantly carrying out experiments and research to improve the quality of the products and pay attention to every dynamic.
Quality standard
We have claimed our position in the market based on the quality of our products. Our products are checked at different levels for quality. Our experts are responsible for ensuring that our neem derivatives conform to the highest international standards, which we follow at our manufacturing unit.
